The Art of Compassion
Compassion is at the core of the more than 30 care and support programs offered by EveryStep. The Art of Compassion annual fundraising initiative brings to the forefront the empathy and financial support needed for effective community-based care. As a non-profit organization, EveryStep has led the charge to address a wide variety of community health care and social service needs. Our services include hospice, grief and loss support, home care, interpretation, community health and much more.
In its third year, the Art of Compassion explores the concept that "it takes a village" to create a community through thought and action. Using the theme Building Communities, the EveryStep Foundation is partnering with local builders to design and construct clubhouses that will be displayed at Jordan Creek Town Center.
By crafting clubhouses representing entities that support learning, safety, food security, healthcare and the comfort of home, EveryStep will demonstrate that together we can build stronger communities.
The campaign will culminate with The Art of Compassion Celebration on Thursday, October 10 at the Ron Pearson Center in West Des Moines. A program, dinner, and silent and live auctions will be included in the evening's festivities, with all proceeds supporting the important work of EveryStep.
Formerly known as HCI Care Services & Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa, EveryStep has been offering care and support since 1908. To learn more about our organization, click here.
