How to Get Involved in Cheer Box 2025!

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA -- The 2025 holiday season is nearly here. At EveryStep, that means it is Cheer Box season again!
For those that have lost a loved one, the holidays can be especially difficult. Cheer Boxes, offered through EveryStep’s Amanda the Panda program, are holiday boxes featuring family-friendly gifts delivered to those that have felt the pain of losing a loved one. During the holiday season, we want to remind them that they have our support and care. We hope to provide Cheer Boxes to 700 individuals and families throughout the state this holiday season.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are a variety of ways you can support Cheer Box this year including: packing/moving, set up, assembly, wrapping, and delivery.
During the week of November 17th, we will be setting up, moving in supplies, wrapping gifts, and assembling baskets. Our initial volunteer shifts are filled, but you can join the waitlist by clicking here.
We are still looking for volunteers to assist with delivery of Cheer Boxes! Deliveries will begin on November 20th and continue for the following two weeks. If you are interested in delivering Cheer Boxes, follow this link to sign up. We are still accepting Cheer Box nominations, so this list could grow. Keep checking back for new opportunities.
