Erin Dykes Returns to EveryStep as Vice President of Clinical Services

As Erin Dykes steps into the leadership role of EveryStep vice president of clinical services, she is treading on familiar ground. Dykes’ lengthy career in health administration, and home health and hospice care, includes previous stints with EveryStep as a hospice nurse and program leader.

Erin formerly worked with EveryStep as a front-line nurse, and team and program development director for the EveryStep Hospice (then HCI Care Services) team in Mount Ayr and Osceola from 2005 to 2010, and again as Osceola team director from 2011 to 2015. Most recently, she has served as inpatient services manager and chief nursing officer at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.

Dykes received her RN from Mercy College of Health Sciences, her BSN from Graceland University and her MS in Health Administration from University of St. Francis.

In the early 2000s, Erin worked as a nurse at a small critical access hospital– an experience which sparked her interest in hospice care. “I loved the days I spent caring for hospice patients at the hospital and after watching and working with the hospice nurses, I knew that’s what I wanted to do.” Erin says her passion for hospice care, coupled with her experience in administration, led to her interest in the leadership position at EveryStep.

Dykes and her husband Tony live near Leon, where she grew up, and have two children. Mara is a senior at Central Decatur and Nash is a freshman there. “I spend a lot of time at my kids’ sporting events, which I love and wouldn’t trade. I enjoy beach vacations and spending time boating with my family at Table Rock Lake.”

Erin is excited to return to Every Step, as much of her career has been focused on being a passionate advocate for the services the company provides.  “I’m so pleased to be rejoining a strong, mission focused organization and look forward to helping our team provide high quality hospice and home care services.”
