EveryStep Announces Appointments For New Regional Director Positions
EveryStep is excited to announce the appointment of Leann Uhlenhopp, Kim Endecott and Jessica Hellwege to the new regional director positions within the non-profit organization.
The regional director roles were created as a way to strengthen, streamline and create synergies among the non-profit’s programs and services.
“Our commitment is to provide the highest level of service to our patients, clients and their families,” Leann Thrapp, vice president of clinical services, says. “This new alignment will allow EveryStep to continue to build strong relationships with our communities, healthcare partners and ensure those we serve live their best lives.”
Leann Uhlenhopp - Regional Director for Central Iowa
Uhlenhopp has served as team director for EveryStep Hospice in the Des Metro and Perry areas for the past two years. In her new role, she will oversee growth of the organization’s hospice programs serving Adair, Boone, Clarke, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Madison, Marshall, Polk, Story and Webster counties.
In her new position, Uhlenhopp will provide guidance to several EveryStep leaders whose teams offer hospice care in central Iowa, including: Sarah Nigg, team director for EveryStep Hospice teams in Osceola and Winterset; Rob Paulus, team director for EveryStep’s Kavanagh House on 56th Street; and the incoming team director for the EveryStep Hospice home-based team in Des Moines.
Uhlenhopp first joined EveryStep as a registered nurse case manager, a position in which she served for five years before leaving the organization. Two years later, she returned in the team director position.
Kim Endecott - Regional Director for Southeast Iowa
In her new role, Endecott – who has served as team director for EveryStep Hospice in Mount Pleasant for the past six years – will oversee the non-profit health services organization’s hospice, home care, grief & loss and palliative care programs in southeast, central and southern Iowa.
Specifically, Endecott will focus on the growth and development of our services in the Mount Pleasant area, as well as EveryStep’s hospice and home care services in Centerville and Knoxville and home care in Des Moines.
Endecott joined EveryStep nearly 15 years ago as a registered nurse, providing care for hospice patients and their families. Mike Breese has been hired as team director for the Mount Pleasant Hospice team.
Jessica Hellwege - Regional Director of Southwest Iowa
In her new role, Hellwege will oversee growth of the organization’s hospice, home care and palliative care programs serving Adams, Adair, Audubon, Cass, Clarke, Decatur, Fremont, Harrison, Madison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Ringgold, Shelby, Taylor and Union counties.
Hellwege will provide guidance to several EveryStep leaders whose teams serve Iowans in their homes and in facilities, including: Tyra Stull, team director for EveryStep Home Care in Creston; Misha Curtis, team director for EveryStep Hospice in Mount Ayr and EveryStep’s Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston; and Bev Fischer, team director for EveryStep Hospice in Council Bluffs.
Prior to joining EveryStep, Hellwege served in regional administrator positions with two other hospice providers, and she most recently served as a consultant in the long-term care and home care industries.
