EveryStep Hosts 4th Annual Day on The Hill Event

As one of the state’s largest and longest-standing nonprofit organizations, EveryStep strives to provide Iowans with compassionate care and support at every stage of their lives.

For these reasons, EveryStep employees, volunteers, and supporters gathered in the Iowa Capitol rotunda on Wednesday, Feb. 12 in an effort to raise awareness and encourage legislative action on a number of important healthcare issues affecting Iowans of all ages.

On the floor of the state capitol rotunda and in individual meetings, EveryStep employees spoke with more than 30 legislators, explaining the organization’s priorities, outcomes and funding requests. Throughout the rotunda, displays of our impactful programs illustrated the vital role that EveryStep plays in the health of Iowans, from prenatal care and early childhood development, to home care and hospice for aging seniors.

Throughout the spring session, EveryStep will continue to circle back with key legislators, advocating for support and tracking legislation that could affect the health and well-being of Iowans.
