EveryStep Named Runner-Up for Best Non-Profit in Des Moines

EveryStep has been named “Runner-Up: Best Non-profit” by the Des Moines Business Record. 
This is the fourth time the organization has received this award. 

The “Best of Des Moines” annual survey is conducted by the Des Moines Business Record via an online open-ended poll, where participants vote for the businesses, people and events that they think are the “Best of Des Moines” in dozens of categories – including best non-profit.

Earlier this month, EveryStep was honored by the Des Moines Register with a 2021 Top Workplaces award, ranking 21st among the top 50 in the mid-sized employer category.

“EveryStep is honored to receive the Best of Des Moines recognition,” says Tray Wade, president and CEO of EveryStep. “Amid uncertainty and ever-changing environments, our more than 400 employees have gone the extra mile to ensure our patients, clients and their families receive the best care possible, whether that has mean making house calls or revising visitations during the COVID-19 pandemic. These recognitions are a direct reflection of the dedication and perseverance of our employees.” 

Since 1908, EveryStep has offered care and resources for infants, children, young mothers, immigrants and refugees, families and aging Iowans in 47 counties through more than 30 programs.

EveryStep has been offering non-profit care and support for Iowans since 1908. Today, EveryStep offers at least one of its 30-plus programs in each of Iowa’s 99 counties. When Iowans face life’s most difficult moments, EveryStep provides support and empowerment in the right place and at the right time. Staff and programs provide support and education to young moms; assistance to immigrants and refugees; wellness services to workplaces and communities; in-home care to people who are ill, injured or facing the end of life; and compassionate support to families during times of grief and loss.
