EveryStep, CEO Tray Wade Named to Top 25 Most Influential Lists

EveryStep, and president and CEO Tray Wade, are honored to be included in the Business Record's annual Top 25 Most Influential Nonprofits and Business Leader lists, which appear in the 2021 Book of Lists.

Named as the 24th Most Influential Nonprofit in Des Moines, this is the third time EveryStep has appeared on the Business Records' most influential lists.  For the first year, EveryStep president and CEO Tray Wade was named to the Business Records' Most Influential Business Leader of the Year list.

EveryStep is honored to once again be selected for the Business Records' Book of List honors. The organization is proud of its committed, compassionate staff, volunteers and supporters, as well as its engaged and supportive Board of Directors and EveryStep’s Foundation Board of Trustees. The Business Record made a slight change to the list for the 2021 Book of Lists. In the past, nonprofit organizations and the most influential boards were recognized in two separate lists. This year, voters were asked to look at nonprofit organizations' total influence on the community.

"While having a strong board is generally a critical component of an organization's ability to have influence, board strength is just one factor of many that should be used to evaluate the influence these organizations wield," the publication noted when soliciting votes in the fall of 2020.

The Most Influential lists were determined through an online survey of Business Record readers conducted in the fall of 2020. Participants were asked which nonprofit they believe to be the most influential and to pick nine other nonprofits that they also perceived to be influential in the Des Moines community.

The honors were announced during the Business Record's virtual Book of Lists party on Thursday, Jan. 7.
