The Des Moines Register Names EveryStep A Winner Of The Iowa 2018 Top Workplaces Award

EveryStep been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Des Moines Register.

The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Receiving a Top Workplace designation is an honor, it’s truly a reflection of the dedication and hard work our nearly 400 employees and hundreds of volunteers put in every day to ensure the patients and clients we serve receive the best care imaginable,” says Tray Wade, president and CEO of EveryStep.

Since 1908, EveryStep has offered care and resources for infants, children, young mothers, immigrants and refugees, families and aging Iowans in 47 counties through more than 30 programs.

Last year, the organization’s nearly 400 employees provided critical healthcare and social services to 60,000 Iowans across the state’s southern tier. The non-profit has 14 locations, including multiple, locally staffed teams for its programs.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
