EveryStep Receives Top Workplaces USA Honor

EveryStep is honored to announce it has been recognized as a 2021 Top Workplaces USA awardee.

EveryStep was also honored with three category honors including for Industry: Healthcare and Culture Excellence: Top Leaders and Communication.

"At EveryStep, our employees believe in our non-profit mission and want to make a difference,” says Tray Wade, EveryStep president and CEO. “We encourage our employees to share their ideas and foster transparency at all levels. As an organization, we benefit from our employees' collaborative spirits. Their diverse backgrounds, experience and expertise help us address the incredibly complicated health care and social support challenges faced by the vulnerable populations we serve."

This is the inaugural year for Top Workplaces USA recognitions, issued by Energage, a purpose-driven organization that develops solutions to build and brand Top Workplaces. The new recognition is built on Energage's 14-year history surveying more than 20 million employees across 54 markets for the regional Top Workplaces awards.

The Top Workplaces USA recognition is just the latest in a string of honors EveryStep has received in recent months. In September 2020, EveryStep was awarded a 2020 Top Workplaces honor by The Des Moines Register for the eighth time.

That same month, the organization was also named “Runner-Up: Best Non-profit” by the Des Moines Business Record. This was the second time EveryStep had received the distinction, and the first time the organizations top leader has been named "Runner-Up: Best CEO."

More recently, EveryStep, and president and CEO Tray Wade, were honored to be included in the Business Record's annual Top 25 Most Influential Nonprofits and Business Leader lists, which appear in the 2021 Book of Lists.

Top Workplaces USA offers national recognition for large organizations, those with more than 150 employees, and those that may have operations in multiple markets. Several thousand organizations from across the country were invited, and more than 1,100 participated in the Top Workplaces USA survey. Winners of the Top Workplaces USA list are chosen based solely on employee feedback gathered through an employee engagement survey, issued by Energage. Results are calculated by comparing the survey’s research-based statements, including 15 Culture Drivers that are proven to predict high performance against industry benchmarks.

"During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance," said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. "When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business."
