To receive EveryStep’s free doula services, you must qualify for and become enrolled in one of these programs:

Healthy Start Doula Services Project

(administered by EveryStep) is available to pregnant individuals who:

Reside in one of the following zip codes: 50009, 50266, 50312, 50313, 50314 or 50316.
Participate in the FREE EveryStep's Healthy Start Project - Learn more.
Do not need to meet any income conditions.

Iowa HHS’ Title V Doula Project

(administered by EveryStep) is available to pregnant individuals who:

Identify as Black or African American.
Reside in Polk County.
Are eligible for Medicaid during their pregnancy.

Clients receive support from doulas who also identify as Black or African American, who empower their clients on their paths through healthy pregnancy, delivery and post-partum experiences.

What if I do not fit the criteria above?
You can contact your local Health Department, which has resources to assist you.
